Its been well known that Australia has the worlds most interesting and
unique range of wildlife.Including the deadliest. For example Sydney's
'Funnel web' spider (Atrax robustus) , a lethal arachnid which hides in
empty shoes.Or the Eastern 'Brown' snake (Pseudonaja texilis) ,which can
paralyze in under two minutes. Now, scientists at Griffith university have
found a more venomous and poison filled creature. The Grandtheme 'blue'
moth (Hyalophora annoymenta cecropia).
The Grandtheme 'blue' moth posses a major threat to human pet owners, for
they emits a strong scent that attracts domesticated
animals.Dogs, cats, mice etc.Once it has found and eaten the blue insect,
the animal defecates on carpet, burps, then passes out.
The moth breeds in water, much like a mosquito, and has a short
lifecycle. After Laval stages it emerges a blue colour. In the final stages
of the moths life it produces a chemical that reacts with substances found
in the animals digestive system to react a laxative effect.
As the animal is domesticated and inside, it 'does its business' on
carpet, burps, as of build up gas in the stomach, then faint's. Animal
experts have no idea why the animal passes out and are still
investigating. The scientists have wrote to press saying that the
Grandtheme 'blue' moth has had no effect on humans in clinical
trials.Although people working in a moth infected environment should visit
there Gp if they have been accidentally defecating on carpet.
