The 'Running of the Bulls' is a weird situation hosted in Spain, where
people get chased down the main street by Bulls. Obviously. It is followed
by World media every year, as people getting chased by these animals
usually occur injures and is interesting to watch on television. Your glad
your not there.
Lesser know then that event is annual the 'Running of the sheep' hosted in
New Zealand. Thousands of people gather in downtown Christchurch, for some
reason, to witness this magnificent yet dangerous rampage of sheep. In
1998 the crowds were gasping Ewe! as astray of the pack ran into the towns
businesses, causing a hundred dollars worth of damage.
Many people were taken to hospital from colliding with the sheep as they
were standing in there way. A local accountant was asked by reporters what
he thought about the Running of the sheep, 'They look choice '.
Although insurance agencies are pushing for a law in local government to
stop any future attempts of letting New Zealanders untie the paddock gate
on a large number of sheep, many people are turning to the underground
lifestyle of sheep running. Groups gather in secret locations to watch the
animals run. The local authorities are tracking down the criminals.
