Could normal everyday people really go into space? Could you fly to London from Tokyo in less time than it takes for you to drive from Canberra to Brisbane in a hotted up stolen Torana drunk and tripping? Well , some rich guys are trying to make this a reality. And pretty soon you'll be forgetting about the 3 percent chance of not coming back when your fat arse is floating around a plastic room with the walls lined with foam. Mabey. For all of the price of a middy of vb. But many people are neglecting the fact that a lot of unfound mysteries are still here on earth. Underground earth that is, urine soaked man reports. Scientists at the university of Dubbo have invented a vehicle to travel underground using magnetic fields and lasers that can reach speeds of over seven hundred feet per second. Unlike the movies 'Journey to the center of the earth' and 'The core' , there is no underground caves or nasty monsters as Professor Jim Neen explains. "Movies are fiction. Really there is only dirt and the occasional rock down there". Although he did say there is a 100 percent chance of not coming back if you dig down too far and get burnt by magma. But there is a slim chance of that. It's not stopped hundreds of people eager to try the technology and view lots of dirt and rock. Thrill Seeker Sophie blondtit says she cant wait to get on the first underground trip. "Is so exciting. I want to see dirt and rocks from the windows of a really small compartment". The cost of travelling underground though has not been established yet, though the cost will be expensive. Insurance companies have failed to measure the return of pay outs. Most likely very high cost, as the fact that one tiny chip of debris to the vehicle would result in instant implosion to all people onboard. |
